3T have long been known for quality bike components and the Exploro is the brand’s first foray into the frame manufacturing market. While bike frames are new to 3T, they aren’t to the company’s co-owner and Head of Design, Gerard Vroomen, who co-founded Cervelo. Entering the bike market with a bang, 3T has created the first aero, gravel bike that is truly one of a kind.
CyclingTips’ Australian tech editor Matt Wikstrom will be reviewing the 3T Exploro Team Edition, and to make things interesting, he’ll be testing the bike with both a road 700c wheelset with 33c tyres and a mountain bike 650B (27.5in) wheelset with 2.1inch tyres. Review on CyclingTips.

Specialized Camber Comp Carbon
Thanks to the longstanding success of the Specialized Epic and Stumpjumper, the younger Camber model is a bike that often flies under the radar. But it really shouldn’t. With carbon and alloy frame options, 27.5in or 29in wheels, the Camber is the people’s trail bike. It’s for the riders who aren’t so turned on by the overtly hardline intentions of the Epic FSR race bike, and for those who consider the 150mm travel Stumpjumper to be too much bike. Because despite what the marketers tell you, there is indeed such a thing.
The FSR rear end is alloy, with a 142x12mm thru-axle locking down the rear wheel. A familiar FSR linkage is in place, and a compact rocker link helps to stiffen the rear end whilst also guiding the shock yoke. As with most Specialized full suspension bikes, the Camber features a proprietary rear shock with a unique captured lower eyelet. Travel sits at 120mm front and rear. In comparison, the 27.5in version of the Camber bumps up the travel to 130mm.
The Camber frame is bristling with fine details. There’s integrated bolt-on armour for the downtube and the driveside chainstay, discreet ISCG 05 tabs, and the ability to fit a front derailleur via Specialized’s clever ‘Taco Blade’. All of the pivots roll on sealed cartridge bearings, and feature flush anodized alloy hardware.
For riders new to full suspension territory who want a comfortable and confident riding bike for XC trails though, the Camber represents the sensible choice over sharper and harder riding race bikes like the Epic. It’s competent and confidence-inspiring, and it’s a terrific marathon hauler for those who want a loyal all-day companion.
We’ve taken everything that makes the S3 such an aero class leader and made it stronger, stiffer and ultimately, faster. Cervélo only launches a new bike when significant performance gains have been made, and by integrating our disc-brake technologies into the world championship-winning S3 we have done exactly that. The S3 Disc is stiffer and more aerodynamic than its rim-brake counterpart, while continuing to make the most of the lightweight design rooted in our Project California research facility. All of this translates to superior handling and control, giving you the confidence to pull away from the peloton or put the hurt on a Saturday morning group ride.
Specialized Allez Sprint frameset in store, limited sizes
Each year, the designers at Specialized look to outfit their racers with limited edition Allez track bikes. This year, the design was inspired by the process and design of the BMW art car series with a composition made by puzzle-pieced decals on top of the frame’s paint as a collaboration with Rocket Espresso, the team’s co-sponsor.
This process makes these uniquely-designed bikes production-ready, unlike previous versions of the RHC Allez race frames. If you’re looking to acquire one of these, the bad news is the track frames are for the athletes only, but there will be 300 road frames available in July.

Highlighted the Zipp 303
Road bikes are going where they’ve never gone before, are expected to do more, and are being ridden harder than ever. At the same time disc brakes are rewriting the rules of what’s possible with rim design. For this new era, the Zipp® 303 Firecrest Tubeless Disc-brake wheelset sets the new standard.
With an all-new disc-specific, tubeless rim, the 303 Firecrest Carbon Clincher is now internally 21mm wide and faster than ever.
The 45mm deep 303 Firecrest delivers unmatched aero performance when used with the wide tires that today’s riding demands. We’ve achieved this with a wide disc-specific rim design featuring ABLC dimples extending all the way to the outer edge of the rim. In addition to achieving AeroBalance™, the industry leading crosswind stability and low aerodynamic drag that defines all Firecrest wheels, the new 303 Firecrest delivers lower drag than the outgoing version when used with 25c or wider tires. The aerodynamic performance gap between a narrower rim and the new 303 grows even larger with 28c and wider tires thanks to a smoother transition between the tire’s profile and our new rim shape.
Designed from the start as a tubeless rim, the 303 Firecrest features a rim bed made with internal ridges to lock the tire’s bead in place, ensuring secure performance, even when ridden at lower tire pressures. Setup tubeless and emblazoned with your choice of six color decal options at the factory, 303 Firecrest wheels are as alluring as they are easy to use. And should you choose to run tubed tires, such as our ultra-low rolling resistance Tangente Speed or Course R28 clinchers, the new 303 is fully compatible.
